Betsoft Software Review
BetSoft is a software developer that often gets overlooked in favor of more well-known companies like Playtech and Microgaming. However, they offer some of the most graphically-advanced and innovative games in the industry. They have been around since 1999, and they are licensed in the jurisdictions of Antigua, Curacao, Malta and Gibraltar.
Unlike most software providers, BetSoft actually does not offer a downloadable suite for play. Instead, they just have an in-browser, instant play option that is powered by Adobe Flash. This means more flexibility for players who may be running these games on Mac or Linux operating systems, which typically do not support downloadable software. They also offer a mobile platform that works on tablets and smartphones so players can seamlessly transition from desktop to mobile play.
Online slots are, hands down, BetSoft's biggest claim to fame. While some software designers focus on quantity over quality, they are not one of them. Their video slots feature impressive graphics that are on par with animation studios like DreamWorks and Pixar. In regards to visual presentation and production values, they are completely unmatched in the industry.
Their Slots3 series of titles features these beautiful 3D graphics and animations as the stories that drive the slots unfold. Slots like A Night in Paris, A Christmas Carol, Alkemor's Tower and Once Upon a Time let players immerse themselves in movie-quality stories while they play. Titles like Weekend in Vegas, The Slotfather and The Tipsy Tourist all offer fun themes with the same high levels of production.
BetSoft also offers big progressive jackpots for many of their online slots. Slots Angels and RockStar are two slots with a heavy metal, biker theme. Each of them has the same video game-quality graphics as the other Slots3 titles, but in addition to the wilds, scatters and interactive bonus rounds, they also have a progressive jackpot to win. Each jackpot is tied to only one game, which can be good or bad, depending on a player's preferences. The straightforward nature of each jackpot may appeal to some players, while players looking for million-dollar jackpots may not appreciate this feature.
Though BetSoft's 3D slots tend to eclipse the rest of their portfolio, they do offer a full complement of table games as well. The graphics on the table games are also very nice, and the user interface is easy to navigate.
They offer a few variations of blackjack like Spanish 21 and 21 Burn Blackjack, Pontoon, roulette, Baccarat, craps, Red Dog and War, as well as several types of poker tables, including Caribbean Stud, Pai Gow, Oasis and Three Card Poker. Unlike some software providers, BetSoft does not currently offer a live dealer option for their table games. They also have over a dozen different types of video poker available for players who enjoy the look of traditional video poker machines.
